Aromatherapy

ESSENTIAL OILS, AROMATHERAPY
Aromatherapy is a method of applying alternative medicine consisting in therapeutic treatment of many ailments with essential plant oils used by inhalations (scent diffuser, inhalators, air humidifiers, Pot Pourri® and through working on the skin (massages, baths, compresses, cosmetics).

This definition describes a method of healing that has been known for centuries and whose modern form created in the 20's a French scientist, Gatefosse. In Poland the method was introduced by the authors of the book "Fragrant Drug Store - Secret of Aromatherapy" by Dr Władysław S. Brud and Dr Iwona Konopacka-Brud, and by POLLENA-AROMA, which in Dr Beta® series started the production of first essential oils and aromatherapy accessories in Poland. From legendary Cleopatra who slept on pillows with rose petals to have beautiful night dreams through Elżbieta Łokietkówna, the Queen of Hungary, who healed her rheumatism and tried to make herself more vigorous by applying rosemary and thyme oils to VAPOMIX® in Dr Beta® series with extensive actions healing physical and mental ailments, application of essential oils has become a common practice.
